What legacy are we leaving? We need to empower and engage in a dialogue 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers... to govern with a father's heart that listens to youth so that our young people know they have been heard.'
Jonathan Bellamy – Cross Rhythms
'Media is such an important gateway [to our nation] to shape our thinking and influence or minds.' We partner with the local church. It is not just about media being an end in itself. 'Our challenge is are we walking with the Lord, are we going deeper with him. Do we know our God.'
Harvey Thomas – FEB
As Christians in the real world where Christians are in a minority we still tend to speak as though everybody is a believer. We are telling so much of the story to our own people.
Andrew Graystone – CMC
We will be saturated in on-line media. This will transform the nature of our relationships, the way we communicate, even the way we understand truth. If the Christian story is to be told it will have to be told in the digital environment. It's a whole new broadcasting world.' You can't transform the culture by staying removed from it. We are in the culture. Let's stay in it and transform it for the glory of God.'
Rev Dr Jonathan Oloyede - GDoP
Some of us are going to have to jump off cliffs and live dangerously in this world.
The church needs to increase its connectivity, its communications, its bonds with itselves. We need to create mergers and loose some of the brands we have. We need to lose definition to get definition. The Lord will ask whole organisations to come together. Stop having committee meetings. Start having prayer meetings. Then do what God says should be done.
Rt Rev James Jones – Bishop of Liverpool
The patron saint of Broadcasting should be Nathaniel: 'an Israelite in whom there is no guile, no snare or manipulation.'
Chip K – Bandwithnoname / Innervation Trust
You can try to be famous, or you can realise you are already great.
Gary Guillon – Timemaker Systems
Do we love one another in the media world? Are we one body? Do we share what we have to acheive His aims. Or do we build the same as everyone else because we need to own or control things? What can we do for each other, to help birth the vision God has given you?
Rory Springthorpe - Vivid Broadcast
We are called to a revolutionary war using only the weapons of faith, hope and love. There is a job to be done getting alongside people. We can't afford for there to be a gap between the Chip Ks and the production companies. How can we link up the creatives and the production companies? How can we be held accountable? We need to be vulnerable and honest with each other - about our failures as well as our successes. All over this country young people are looking for people to lead them. How are we leading? Are we communicating to the younger guys our vision, so that they can say 'I want to fight for that!' Are we standing for what we believe in?
Michael Cassidy - AfricaEnterprise
I believe this concern about the next generation, the passing the baton, is indeed a real God concern. 'Teach the children so the next generation might know him.' Think all the time about the next generation: teaching, training, discipling and bringing them on.
Graham Spencer – Cloak Productions / God TV
Who is the voice in Britain at the moment? God raise up people with voices. As broadcasters we need to be looking for them.
Tim Finch – OCM Films
We are to take ground and move forward. One generation will commend your works to another. It will commend your mighty acts. In the spirit we have come here to say that Christians will be able to say the truth of God in media city. Eagles - look sideways. Stretch our your hands and run together.
Chris Cole – God TV
God is taking us in the land of promise - that's why it's a battle. I believe CBC is a God idea. It is a contention.
