UK COMMUNITY RADIO STATIONS WITH A CHRISTIAN ETHOS
This is an exciting time for Christian broadcasting in the UK. In particular, at CBC we are very encouraged by the emergence of these 9 Community radio stations with a Christian ethos. We believe that it is a refreshing sign of God doing a new thing in media in our nation and we believe it is important that CBC, as a networking resource and a national representation body for Christians in media, support these new groups.
CBC itself is in a time of strategic development and we see supporting the emerging Christian community radio scene as one of our primary aims and objectives. Please visit the stations' websites, listen to their streaming audio (those who have it), and give them some encouragement!

Revival Radio Ltd was incorporated in October 1995 and launched it's first broadcast in March 1996, celebrating Easter, and several times since as an RSL. Maintaining their vision for full time Christian broadcasting in Scotland, Revival Radio continued to broadcast when licence conditions permitted and to explore broadcast possibilities and were rewarded in the summer of 2005 with the news that the station had been awarded a 5-year Community Radio Licence. After months of planning and obtaining permissions, Revival Radio went live at the beginning of September 2006, launching on 100.8 FM, and becoming the first full time Christian radio station to broadcast from Scotland and the first Christian radio station in Scotland to be available on conventional terrestrial radio frequencies.

Over the next 15 years they ran regular RSL's from studios in Dewsbury and the team grew and developed, and eventually gained a Community Licence.
FLAME FM
Flame FM has operated RSL's in the Wirral for many years, building and developing their team, material and equipment. Only at the end of last year (2007) did they hear that their hard work has been rewarded by being granted a full-time Community Radio licence, aiming to be on air by autumn 2008. As well as preparing for full time broadcast, they are concurrently developing their website for streaming.
